Tiffany Newbern-Johnson
Government Affairs Executive. Strategic Advisor.
Throughout her career, Tiffany Newbern-Johnson has worked at the intersection of government, policy, and organizational strategy, helping leaders navigate legislative, regulatory, and operational challenges that shape long-term success.
Her experience spans senior leadership roles within the Illinois Governor’s Office, the Chicago Mayor’s Office, and the Illinois Speaker’s Office before transitioning to the private sector, where she led multi-state government affairs and policy strategy for a national company operating in a highly regulated industry.
These experiences provided Tiffany with a unique perspective on how decisions are made, how policy is developed and implemented, and how those decisions affect organizations, communities, and stakeholders. Having advised leaders across government, business, and the nonprofit sector, she understands the priorities, constraints, and competing interests that shape outcomes in complex environments.
Tiffany has advised elected officials, executive leadership teams, regulators, nonprofit leaders, and community stakeholders on legislative strategy, public funding initiatives, intergovernmental affairs, regulatory engagement, and complex public policy matters. She has helped advance significant legislative and policy initiatives, including adult-use cannabis legalization, minimum wage reform, capital infrastructure investments, economic development incentives, and other transformative public policy efforts.
